Vistra has appointed Scott Kraemer as managing director of alternative investments in North America, effective immediately.

In this role, Kraemer will be responsible for the development and execution of the alternative investments strategy for North America, including operations, key account management, strategic partnerships and resource allocation across Vistra’s offices in the region.

Based in New York, Kraemer will report to Onno Bouwmeister, Vistra’s group managing director of alternative investments.

With more than 25 years of professional experience in financial services, Kraemer has held senior roles in operations, accounting, technology and risk at various global organisations, including J.P. Morgan, BNY Mellon and State Street.

In his most recent role at State Street, he was senior vice president in the private equity and real asset fund services group overseeing the New York and New Jersey offices.

Commenting on Kraemer’s appointment, Bouwmeister commented: “North America is an important region for Vistra and we are pleased to have Scott Kraemer on board to strengthen our alternative investment leadership team.”

“His expertise and strong track record in the region will enable us to capture further business opportunities.”
