RBC Investor & Treasury Services (RBC I&TS) has been appointed custodian by Coin Capital Investment Management’s exchange-traded funds (ETFs) which launched on 20 September, 2018.

RBC I&TS will also provide Coin Capital’s fund accounting and fund administration services.

Coin Capital is the investment and portfolio management division of Toronto-based Coinsquare, a trading platform for digital assets.

Coin Capital’s ETFs focus on emerging technologies, such as blockchain and artificial intelligence.

According to RBC I&TS, this new relationship with Coin Capital strongly reflects RBC I&TS’ focus to provide its clients with the knowledge and expertise needed to move their business forward.

Lewis Bateman, CEO of Coin Capital, said: "We are excited to partner with RBC I&TS as our ETF custodian and look forward to expanding our relationship as we continue to grow our innovative investment offering in the emerging technology sector.”

David Linds, head of asset servicing, Canada at RBC Investor & Treasury Services, commented: “RBC I&TS’ deep understanding of the fast-growing ETF market, along with our strong custody and fund accounting and fund administration services, enable us to provide clients like Coin Capital with best-in-class services and client experience.”

He added: “We’re pleased the Coin Capital has selected RBC I&TS to manage their evolving ETF needs.”
