Saxo Bank appoints new COO

Saxo Bank has appointed Thomas Hovard as new COO of global distribution and client services.

Hovard will start at Saxo Bank on 4 February 2019.

He will report directly to Damian Bunce, CCO of Saxo Bank.

In his role at Saxo Bank, Hovard will be responsible for the ongoing operations of the global distribution and client services organisation to ensure the group’s client-centric strategy is executed across markets.

Hovard joins Saxo Bank from Danske Bank where he most recently served as global head of debt capital markets and research.

During his 16 year tenure with Danske Bank he has held several positions in both research and sales.

Bunce commented: “We look forward to welcoming Thomas Hovard. He brings extensive leadership experience and a strong skill set that will further strengthen our renowned client service and ensure we continue to meet the demands of our growing client base.”

He added: “Hovard shares our ambitions of leveraging innovative technology to enhance the client experience that underpins our unparalleled access to trade global capital markets.”
