Corfinancial has promoted middle office operations and technology specialist, David Veal, to senior executive of client solutions.

In his new role, Veal will be coordinating across CO-STARS, paragon, BITA Risk and salerio to
optimise synergy within the group and leverage the individual product successes.

Veal joined corfinancial as senior executive, strategy and project management, for salerio in 2015.

In this role, Veal supported the strategic development of salerio (the post-trade confirmation, matching, settlement and tracking solution), as well as business development.

Prior to corfinancial, he spent 11 years as founder, COO, and principal consultant at Pentagon Consulting. Veal was also assistant director of operations at Rothschild Asset management for 10 years.

Veal has almost 30 years of experience in solution delivery. As a consultant, he managed programmes of work to select and implement solutions within buy-side companies.

The buy-side companies included global asset managers, international insurance fund managers, hedge fund managers, wealth managers, and securities services companies in Europe, North America and Asia.

Bruce Hobson, CEO at corfinancial, commented: “This promotion is a direct result of David Veal’s excellent work as part of the salerio team. His prior experience of running a business and working in both the vendor and consulting spaces will be invaluable as we continue to expand.”

He added: “Veal and I, together with the product heads, will be focused on establishing the strategic foundations of the business and developing a detailed plan for our current, exciting phase of growth. In essence, Veal’s role will cover two main elements: business strategy and product technology strategy.”
