The Personal Investment Management and Financial Advice Association (PIMFA) has published an updated version of its second Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) feedback template and guide, originally issued for industry comment in June 2018.
Jointly-authored with Tax Incentivised Savings Association (TISA), the template and guide reflect input received from members of PIMFA's Product Governance and Template Testing Working Groups which include asset managers, distributor firms and information providers operating in the UK and across Europe.
The European working group aims to work with European and national trade associations to produce a pan-European Feedback Template, PIFMA and TISA said.
They added this will build upon the work that PIMFA and TISA have completed so far.
Sarah McGuffick, lead regulatory policy advisor at PIMFA, said: "The template and guide will help product distributors to meet their MiFID II product governance reporting obligations, enabling them to provide target market sales data to product manufacturers in a standardised and easy-to-use format."
