Clearstream has further expanded its Vestima offering by adding Indonesia as a newly covered investment fund market.
Providing international investors with direct access to Indonesia domiciled investment funds is part of Clearstream’s strategy to expand its fund market coverage in the Asia Pacific and on an international scale.
Key drivers for adding Indonesia were international customer demand and a strongly growing investment fund market in 2018, said Clearstream.
As at 30 November 2018, assets under management for mutual funds in Indonesia reached approximately €30 billion.
The news comes after Clearstream further expanded its Vestima offering to Cyprus, by making Cyprus-domiciled investment funds eligible for order routing, settlement and custody.
International customers can use their Vestima setup to directly access Cyprus-domiciled funds and benefit from the same streamlined handling as for other markets.
Assets under management in Cyprus have more than doubled from €2.1 billion in 2012 to €4.8 billion in 2018.
