SS&C hires Joseph Maxwell to drive fund admin business

SS&C Technologies Holdings has appointed Joseph Maxwell as technology head of SS&C GlobeOp's hedge fund administration group, to lead the firm's hedge fund technology and fund administration business.

Maxwell will be responsible for driving SS&C's technology solution strategy to strengthen the firm's hedge fund technology and fund administration.

Prior to joining SS&C, Maxwell spent more than 12 years at Citco were he served as the chief information officer for the Citco Group of Companies from 2006 to 2018.

He has also held senior positions at BDO Seidman, LLC, The Hackett Group and Deutsche Bank.

Kenneth Fullerton, managing director and head of SS&C GlobeOp's hedge fund administration business, said: "We welcome the depth of technology and operations expertise Joe Maxwell brings to one of our core businesses.”

He added: "He will manage all aspects of our fund administration technology and will work closely with clients to create greater efficiencies and innovation for their funds."

Commenting on his new role, said: "With the acceleration of technological advancements, such as machine learning, natural language processing and robotics, I became very interested in joining a technology-focused firm. After meeting with SS&C executives, I was sold on SS&C's technology vision and commitment to transform the hedge fund industry."
