SANNE has appointed James Bermingham as group general counsel.

Based in Luxembourg, Bermingham will be responsible for setting SANNE’s legal strategy.

He will also guide the commercial strategy of the business, supporting its clients and representing their interests in industry, regulatory and governmental forums.

Prior to joining SANNE, Bermingham served at Aztec Group for 10 years as the group’s general counsel and managing director of its Luxembourg office, where he was responsible for re-design the group’s operating model.

Martin Schnaier, CEO at SANNE, commented: “We are delighted to welcome James Bermingham to SANNE. His wealth of experience in the industry and appreciation of the varying legal, regulatory and product regimes across jurisdictions makes him an excellent addition to our growing team.”

Commenting on his new role, Bermingham said: “I am excited to be joining a company with such a strong reputation and presence within the industry. I am looking forward to joining the team, getting to know my colleagues and helping SANNE achieve its ambition and seeing all stakeholders prosper.”
