BNY Mellon has appointed Subhankar Sinha as head of blockchain.
Based in New York, Sinha will focus on developing partnerships with startups and business partners to drive innovation for BNY Mellon blockchain initiatives.
Sinha joins BNY Mellon from Nabartham, a firm he founded to advise other startups on strategic partnerships, ecosystem governance and product-market fit for blockchain products.
Prior to launching Nabartham, Sinha was a director at PwC where he co-founded and co-led its firm's blockchain consulting practice in the US.
Sinha has knowledge in business, technology, information and governance and has developed blockchain use cases and revenue opportunities in lending, reinsurance, asset management, asset servicing, among other industry sectors.
Roman Regelman, senior executive vice president and head of digital at BNY Mellon, said: "Subhankar Sinha has proven himself both as a blockchain thought leader and results-oriented tactician. His addition to our team will build upon existing digital capabilities and help drive new and innovative client solutions."
