Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, will deliver the closing plenary at Sibos 2019 in September.
Kurian previously worked at Oracle for 22 years, most recently as president of product development, where he led a software development team.
Before that, he worked at McKinsey as a business analyst and engagement manager.
Kurian is also a member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council and Princeton University School of Engineering Advisory Council.
The closing plenary session will also feature Rachel Botsman, author of ‘Who Can You Trust?’ and the first Trust Fellow at Oxford University’s Saïd Business School.
Sibos 2019 will take place at the ExCeL London between 23 and 26 September.
Chantal Van Es, head of Sibos at SWIFT, said: “Thomas Kurian is an incredibly well-respected technology expert and we’re thrilled to have him as a speaker in his first year as leader of Google Cloud.”
She added: “With nearly 30 years of experience, including work with many financial services companies, Kurian will offer delegates genuine insight into the future of global technology infrastructure and successfully managing digital transformation in a hyper-connected world.”
“With Thomas Kurian and Rachel Botsman we have a very exciting line up for the closing plenary, where we’ll hear insights on both the business and human side of this unprecedented period of technological transformation.”
