Vistra has appointed Jervis Smith as country managing director of Vistra Luxembourg, effective from 17 September 2019.
Smith will be responsible for leading Vistra’s Luxembourg office and growing the business, together with the Vistra office in the Netherlands.
Based in Luxembourg, Smith will report to Vincent Bremmer, regional managing director, Europe, Vistra.
Smith has more than 35 years of experience in the banking and finance industry.
Prior to joining Vistra, he spent more than spent 25 years at Citi where he was most recently head of investor services, Luxembourg, responsible for managing the product and business development of investor services catered to banks, pensions, insurances and asset managers.
Commenting on the appointment, Vincent Bremmer, said: “Jervis Smith’s extensive local and international experience puts us in a position to further capitalise on this important market. His track record and experience in leadership and client management will maximise the potential of our employees while further elevating our client relationship and service experience.”
