Swedish investment consultant Wassum has gone live on the Calastone global funds transaction network.

Wassum serves institutional investors, unit linked companies, pension funds, family offices, foundations and fund managers.

The onboarding expands Calastone’s reach in the Nordics, and aims to strengthen Wassum’s trading process in a secure, transparent and cost-effective way.

Jon Willis, Calastone’s chief commercial officer said: “Calastone is committed to helping the funds industry realise the benefits of risk and cost reduction by offering an interoperable and fully automated approach to funds processing.”

“Irrespective of size or location, our open attitude and industry-focused approach is designed with the domestic, regional and global characteristics of the funds industry in mind. As a key participant in this important Nordic territory, we are delighted that Wassum has joined our network and look forward to working with the Swedish fund community to deliver the benefits that automation has to offer.”

Wassum managing director Tom-Erik Urø added: “At Wassum, we are focused on helping our investment clients find the best possible investment opportunities and ensuring their transactions are processed both smoothly and securely.”

“We were impressed by Calastone’s flexible approach, its efficient process and the network technology. Their extensive market coverage in the UK and Europe enables us to connect to a wide range of interesting fund companies, enabling us to further help our clients.”
