3forge introduces IDE to its US equity platform AMI

Data technology company 3forge has launched a web-based integrated development environment (IDE) on its US market equity platform, AMI.

The IDE solution is directly built into the AMI platform’s dashboard in an effort to increase developer productivity and to accelerate and simplify the creation of complex dashboards and workflows.

The fully embedded IDE is able to set breakpoints and step through code, view local variables and tables, deliver clear error messages and inspect visualisations, data models and relationships, among other capabilities.

The IDE’s debugging tool is able to observe and understand the functionality of the dashboard, says 3forge, reducing the time spent diagnosing the problem and encouraging user self-sufficiency.

3forge’s AMI manages an estimated 20 per cent of daily US market equity transactions.

Robert Cooke, founder and chief technology officer, comments: “We are excited to deliver this industry-leading IDE. Over many years working in mission-critical trading environments, we recognise that comprehensive instrumentation and tooling will enable developers to deliver the next generation of platform solutions.”
