SaaS investment management solutions provider SimCorp has extended its range of strategic data partnerships, as part of its efforts to expand data integration on its SimCorp Dimension platform. This follows agreements with Cambridge Associates, Preqin, and now PitchBook.

Currently, two of these partnerships are operational on the SimCorp platform. The company aims to create a Private Investment Benchmark data interface, which will allow users that license this data to use it in their investment management software solution SimCorp Dimension.

PitchBook, the most recent addition to SimCorp’s roster, offers financial data and software, delivering private and public market data to a global client base.

The second partnership, with fund-level performance information provider Cambridge Associates,(in collaboration with IHS Markit, also allows clients to identify investment opportunities, as well as to monitor performance and manage risk.

Data and analysis provider Preqin, uses online databases, publications, bespoke data requests, and application programme interfaces to provide information to the alternative assets industry.

Hugues Chabanis, vice president of innovation at SimCorp, says: for the first time ever, the leading benchmark providers of private market data are now seamlessly integrated, enabling SimCorp Dimension clients to leverage vital information into their investment processes and delivering superior forecast predictions.”

Thomas Meyer, director and offer manager for cashflow forecasting at SimCorp, adds: “As the private equity industry becomes more global, investors require market data from multiple countries and often want to use several data providers in parallel. Our solution not only gives access to such data, but also facilitates interoperability across the various private market data providers.

“This offers our clients a valuable analytical functionality that was previously only available to select groups of large asset managers with deep pools of proprietary private market data.”
