Governance, risk, and compliance advisor ACA Group (ACA) has expanded the capabilities of ComplianceAlpha, its integrated RegTech solutions platform. ComplianceAlpha now supports surveillance and adherence to electronic communications policies.
ComplianceAlpha provides a single view of activities that may put firms at risk, addressing surveillance requirements and market evolution. It includes a policy-based surveillance engine, relationship forensics, and case management tools, with issues flagged by the system to allow alerts to be efficiently resolved by compliance teams.
ACA’s RegTech surveillance solutions capture communications across channels, giving companies complete supervision of employee communications.
The additions to the platform will help to bring regulatory investigations into the light for financial services firms, and allow for any issues to be escalated to management.
Annie Morris, chief product officer at ACA, says: “As electronic communications recordkeeping comes under increased scrutiny from global regulators, it is now clear that firms need to move beyond policies and procedures, and actually be able to access and analyse communications data to take proactive action to ensure compliance.
“For example, our relationship forensics calculates relationship strength between employees or employees and individuals outside the firm. These interpersonal connections are key to understanding where risk can be found — arming the compliance group with insight into communications patterns supplemented with a compelling measure of how well people know each other. Doing so allows the firm to map behaviours, activities, and relationships to uncover potential high-risk behaviours.”
