PwC has selected Doorda’s data products to enhance the analytics capabilities of the UK deals insights and analytics division.

The partnership is part of a recent push from PwC to incline more external data sources into its analysis, with the goal of increased productivity and faster operations for its private equity, hedge fund and corporate clients.

Doorda offers analytics-ready data, consolidated from numerous sources. Incompatible data types and formats are categorised, linked and made available on a cloud data platform.

The platform also collects information through Freedom of Information requests, provides historical data not kept by publishers and includes an index of all UK addresses.

Nigel Wilson, partner at PwC’s UK deals insight and analytics team, says: “We are pleased to have Doorda Data Products as part of our broader data assets. Doorda was differentiated [from the market] given their unique proposition of blending ‘messy’ open source datasets and structuring them in a way that makes them quick to interrogate, which is essential in a deals environment.”

Clifford McDowell, CEO of Doorda, adds: “We are delighted to be supporting the data and analytics experts in the deals insights and analytics team at PwC by giving them immediate access to the wealth of open data and unique features within Doorda Data Products to help improve outcomes and shorten time to insight.”
