Pan-European trading venue Spectrum Markets has partnered with ICE Data Services (ICE) Italy. The mandate will see Spectrum’s data provided to ICE’s Italy-based clients.
The initiative aims to simplify connectivity for new members joining ICE, speeding up the onboarding process and reducing unnecessary costs.
ICE Data Services Italy collects, processes and standardises reference and business entity data, including corporate actions, risk analytics and taxation information, for several asset classes such as equities, listed and unlisted bonds, funds, derivatives and certificates.
The first phase of the collaboration will cover Spectrum’s reference data, with the potential for other data streams, like real-time market data, to follow.
ICE’s services are available as a data-feed for back-middle office applications, or via an online browser that enables clients to search, design reports and perform analyses.
The new data sharing collaboration will go live in Italy first and is expected to include other regions across Europe in the future.
LIST and SIA (part of Nexi Group) have also collaborated with Spectrum to improve member experience and accessibility.
Nicky Maan, CEO of Spectrum Markets, says: “Ever since we set out to offer a better way for retail investors to access markets, we’ve maintained a constant focus on enhancing and evolving our infrastructure and service offering, listening closely to what our customers want, and responding accordingly.”
Michele Giacomin, head of Southern Europe Market Development at ICE, comments: “We’re delighted to work with Spectrum Markets to help facilitate better access to its trading venue and its data, and at the same time we look forward to the potential of bringing more data to new audiences around Europe.
“Incorporating Spectrum’s data into our offering is a real value-add when it comes to our ability to help customers remain competitive and take advantage of new and emerging opportunities.”
