Chronograph to launch Snowflake connectivity-as-a-service solution

Technology provider Chronograph has partnered with Snowflake to develop a connectivity-as-a-service product designed to consolidate and analyse private equity portfolio monitoring data.

Currently, Chronograph’s portfolio monitoring services allow clients to unify data across formats, facilitating a more detailed understanding of investments. On the new platform, users will be able to connect data from multiple systems to Snowflake’s Data Cloud. Through this, they can access private equity-specific data management and analytics tools.

The solution will provide data extract, load, transform at scale, allowing for private capital portfolio monitoring data to be ported in a long-term persistence medium. Through Snowflake’s turnkey Secure Data Share features, data replication can occur in real-time without extraction or access limitation.

This will reduce time-to-production for services built on Chronograph-managed data, the company says, and will eliminate the need for data warehouse integration management.

Michael Bridge, co-founder and chief technology officer at Chronograph, says: “We started Chronograph to provide our clients next-generation private market technology. There is strong and growing demand from investors to interact with complex data from many sources, and Chronograph’s new Snowflake connectivity-as-a-Service offering will help clients realise solutions to these data challenges with speed and efficiency.”
