METRON, Dalkia, BNP Paribas and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have partnered to create the Decarb Fast Track programme, which seeks to help 100 industrial companies reduce their energy consumption and meet CO2 emission reduction targets.
Once the 100 successful applicants, based in France and across Europe, have been identified they will receive subsidised access to an energy management and optimisation toolbox, financed by each partner company’s contribution to the programme.
Common reduction targets will be provided, with the initiative aiming to reduce each company’s energy consumption by 10 per cent. AWS will host METRON’s energy management solution, which will be present at each company’s site to monitor and analyse consumption and emissions in real time.
Experts from the four partner companies will provide support to those taking part in the programme for two years, helping them to build, finance and implement energy performance projects.
Through the initiative, the companies aim to demonstrate the actions that private bodies can take to accelerate an ecological transition in the industry. They hope to encourage more engagement with energy optimisation strategies, with decarbonisation a key issue for economies as well as the environment.
