Canadian asset investment fund manager 3iQ Digital Asset Management (3iQ) has selected Apex Group for fund administration, listed transfer agency and custody services.
Founded in 2012, 3iQ offers investors familiar investment products to gain exposure to digital assets and was also the first Canadian investment fund manager to offer a public Bitcoin investment fund.
New funds, 3iQ CoinShares Bitcoin Feeder Exchange-Traded Funds (ETF) and 3iQ CoinShares Ether Feeder ETF, have been listed on Cboe Australia.
These products grant investors with exposure to respective cryptocurrencies via units purchased on 3iQ’s existing ETFs listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Apex will provide services to these Australia-listed ETF structures as part of Apex’s single-source solution.
Nick Bradford, head of business development, Oceania at Apex Group, comments: “3iQ has been at the forefront of the digital assets investing revolution, as the first regulated digital asset investment fund manager in Canada, and now bringing new and innovative fund structures and products to market in Australia. We are delighted to be supporting the 3iQ team with our single-source solution which is well-equipped to meet the unique needs of listed digital asset managers.”
Fred Pye, CEO of 3iQ, says: “Apex’s single-source service model has demonstrated the adaptability and efficiency we require to operate in the world of digital currency markets. By working with Apex, we are able to focus on being the first to provide investors with convenient and familiar investment products which give them exposure to digital assets.”
