Agriculture fund manager appoints Apex Group for fund administration

Agriculture fund manager Laguna Bay has selected Apex Group to provide fund administration services to its agricultural investment fund, known as Fund 2.

Laguna’s Fund 2 has been created to raise AUS$1 billion for agriculture investments in targeted regions across New Zealand and Australia.

Laguna Bay was established in 2010 and is one of the longest standing agricultural fund managers in Australia, serving institutional and wholesale investors.

David Potter, head of business development for Australia at Apex Group, comments: “Apex Group’s range of scalable fund administration services will enable the Laguna Bay team to focus their time and resources on the active management of their investments and implementation of sustainability initiatives.”

Benjamin Trickett, managing director of funds management at Laguna Bay, adds: “The Apex Group team have demonstrated an ability to deliver their services on a local scale and to provide a tailored approach suitable to the unique requirements of an Australian investment vehicle.”
