Abacus, the Maltese fund administration and fiduciary services group, has appointed Mario Psaila as its new general manager.
The company, which has been in operations for eighteen months, hopes to drive its fund services operations business in Europe.
Psaila will be working with managing director Paul Kneen to promote Abacus’ current fund administration services and explore new opportunities in Malta and the Isle of Man.
He has held a range of roles in the financial sector in his 30-year career, across sectors including banking, telecoms, and fund administration.
“Now that the Malta office is well established, there is a range of opportunities available and I hope to help Abacus maintain a competitive position at the forefront of the fund services sector,” he said.
