Deutsche Bank has consolidated its commodity trade financing business, bringing the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) team under the leadership of John MacNamara, global head of structured commodity trade finance and managing director of the bank.

The commodity trade finance EMEA team will continue to be led by Willem Calame, however the move is intended to centralise Deutsche Bank’s corporate client offering in this area into one team.

Calame has worked in the Deutsche Bank commodity finance business for the last 15 years, including as director of structured commodity finance for EMEA. He has been head of commodity trade finance for EMEA since 2015.

MacNamara set up the structured commodity trade finance team in 1999.
