BNP Paribas reports “strong business drive” for 2021

BNP Paribas’s end-of-year report showed that 2021 was a year of strong growth for its assets under custody and assets under administration, as well as its wider securities services.
BNP Paribas saw a 15.1 per cent increase in assets under custody, reporting a total of €12.6 trillion at the end of 2021, compared to 2020’s end-of-year results.
The bank also recorded a 14.5 per cent increase in assets under administration to €2.521 trillion compared to end -of-year 2020.
Securities services revenues rose by 5.1 per cent YoY to €2.3 billion for the 12 months of 2021, which the bank assigned partly to the platform’s onboarding of new clients, in particular, the acquisition of the depositary bank business of Banco Sabadell.
Transaction volumes for the securities services business increased by 10.4 percent YoY to 35.5 million for the year to 31 December 2021.
