Convergence has announced that it will acquire boutique management consulting firm Double N Advisors LLC (DNA).

DNA’s founder and CEO Carl J Versella will lead Convergence’s capital markets segment and management consulting practice, taking the role of managing director.

New Jersey-based DNA was formed in 2017 and provides consulting advice to financial services companies around operations and operational due diligence, cash and collateral management, counterparty credit risk management, middle and back-office administration, service provider analysis, and compliance.

Previously, Carl Versella was founder of the alternatives consulting group in Credit Suisse’s prime brokerage arm, having also served as a senior leader in KPMG’s management consulting practice and a Morgan Stanley consultant to Tiger Management LLC.

Versella was also president and chief operating officer of HC Associates, a consulting firm that was acquired by Rothstein Kass.

Convergence was created in 2013 and provides data-as-a-service solutions, utilising raw and unstructured data and applying data science and predictive analytics. The company is headquartered in South Norwalk, Connecticut, and has operations in New Jersey and Hyderabad in India.
