The Barbados Central Securities Depository has joined the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) as a full member, the association announced at its general meeting (EGM) in Guatemala earlier this month.

ANNA supports the standardisation of capital markets through compliance with ISO principles, working with market participants, regulators and standards bodies.

Banque Centrale du Congo and International Financial Services Centres India were also confirmed as ANNA partners at the EGM. The association now consists of 100 full members and 20 additional partners, allocating ISIN, FISN and CFI ISO codes for more than 200 jurisdictions worldwide.

Dan Kuhnel, chairman of ANNA, says: “The time we spend together as national numbering agencies and as members of ANNA is invaluable to ensure that we continue to build on our work towards further interoperability in the global financial markets.

“This year we are celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of ANNA, so it is particularly wonderful to welcome Barbados, the Congo, and IFSC India. We look forward to moving into the next phase of standards collaboration in 2023.”
