TNS expands with Canadian exchange partnerships

Transaction Network Services (TNS) clients now have low-latency network connectivity to Canadian markets through the firm’s trading infrastructure.

Following the expansion, TNS customers can access all equities and derivatives markets in addition to TNS’ existing European, APAC and US exchange infrastructures.

TNS’ infrastructure services include colocation, a managed services suite and hardware procurement. The company has also added new Canadian data feeds to its portfolio, with the goal of improving market data connectivity and order routing efficiency.

Seven exchanges have partnered with TNS for the expansion, namely TradelogiQ, NEO Exchange, Canadian Securities Exchange, Nasdaq Canada, CBOE MATCHnow and the Toronto Stock Exchange and Montreal Exchange (both part of TMX Group).

The announcement follows recent expansions in Hong Kong, Singapore and Madrid.

Jeff Mezger, vice president of product development for the TNS’ financial markets business, says: “This market launch across Canada connects millions of financial buyers and sellers and brings them up to speed on the world’s first globally deployed, highly reliable and fast commercial backbone. TNS is proud to help Canadian financial markets increase uptime and reduce disruption with our single-source solutions suite.”
