Izba Zarzadzajacych Funduszami i Aktywami (IZFiA), the Polish chamber of fund and asset managers, has joined the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA).
IZFiA provides information on investment funds and how professional ethics can be improved, with the goal of developing the sector in Poland.
The organisation is the 29th national association to join EFAMA, which also represents 54 corporate members.
Malgorzata Rusewicz, CEO of IZFiA, says: “This opens new perspectives and opportunities for our organisation and the entire investment fund sector in Poland. Joining EFAMA is not only a prestigious acknowledgment for our Chamber but also an opportunity for active participation on the international stage.
“It is an opportunity to build stronger relationships, develop joint initiatives and support innovative solutions for our clients and the entire capital market sector.”
Tanguy van de Werve, director general of EFAMA, comments: “[IZFiA’s] deep knowledge of the Polish fund and asset management sector will prove valuable to our work as we strive towards achieving a Capital Markets Union for Europe.
“Having as a member the industry body of the EU’s sixth largest economy will further increase our representativity and political clout in Brussels and beyond, to all our members’ benefit."
