Clearstream is extending its partnership with global fintech platform iCapital.

The extended collaboration aims to increase efficiencies and eliminate the operational challenges of investing in private markets.

The partnership expands on the current relationship, where €10 billion of iCapital funds are already invested through Clearstream. The offering will now be available to over 450 distributors across more than 55 domestic markets worldwide.

Investors will be able to access opportunities on the iCapital Marketplace as well as the Clearstream Fund Centre and Clearstream Vestima platforms.

Philippe Seyll, head of Clearstream fund services, states: “By strengthening our partnership with iCapital, we are providing asset managers and distributors with a platform to centralise and facilitate safe access across all asset classes — including private market assets.

“With our ecosystem of scalable, secure, and integrated distribution and processing solutions, we are committed to supporting both ends of the distribution chain with data and services.”

Marco Bizzozero, head of international at iCapital, adds: "Wealth creation is increasingly occurring beyond the boundaries of public market opportunities commonly available to most investors.

“We are proud to strengthen our partnership with Clearstream, which will enable wealth managers to access the growth and diversification opportunities that private markets can offer as alternative investments increasingly become a core component of a balanced portfolio."
