Prometheum Capital, a broker-dealer for digital assets, has added Uniswap and Arbitrum to its custodial platform.
Institutional and corporate clients in the US will now be able to custody Ethereum’s ether token, along with the above digital assets, through Prometheum Capital.
These three digital asset securities have a total market cap of nearly US$320 billion and are all among the top 50 digital assets by market cap, according to the firm.
Prometheum Capital uses blockchain technology to record on-chain ownership of digital assets, eliminating the need for traditional intermediaries such as transfer agents.
This approach not only enhances transparency, says the company, but can also reduce costs compared to traditional solutions that rely on transfer agents for recordkeeping.
Prometheum Capital plans to launch its custodial services to institutional investors in Q3 2024.
