Citi Australia and New Zealand welcome new appointees

Citi Australia and New Zealand’s Markets business has announced a number of new appointments to strengthen the markets business team in the region.

Dan Birch has been enlisted as head of markets sales for New Zealand. He will be responsible for supporting client engagement, and joins the company from Perennial Partners, where he most recently served as head of institutional sales.

The position of head of asset-backed securitisation & financing for Australia and New Zealand will be filled in by Peter Hext. Hext also currently serves as director at Citi, and has been with the company for over 13 years. His previous role was head of commercial asset-backed securitisation in New York.

Ankit Khandelwal joins the G10 Rates Trading team from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he held several positions related to trading and risk.

The Access Strategies team covering Australia and New Zealand welcomes Melanie Vandervord. Vandervord holds over 20 years’ experience in corporate access and most recently acted as corporate access specialist at MST Financial.
