TMF Group has acquired Stonehage Fleming’s corporate services business in South Africa.

In the agreement, two entities were acquired — Stonehage Fleming Corporate Services and Stonehage Fleming Trustees. These were combined to create Stonehage Fleming Corporate Services South Africa (SFCS South Africa).

This acquisition marks TMF’s commitment to expanding fiduciary, agency and financial management services to clients and industries within South African capital markets.

TMF Group’s head of Middle East and Africa, Stewart Adams, comments: “This acquisition is crucial to expand our presence in South Africa and enrich our local and global portfolio with great clients and new talent.”

Brendan Harmse, director of Stonehage Fleming and head of corporate services for South Africa, adds: “We are sure that the combined new business will benefit our clients through broader corporate services capabilities and provide our professional team with excellent career opportunities.”
