SIX and China Construction Bank Corporation (CCB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate on securities services topics.
The signing ceremony, which took place at SIBOS in Beijing, China, marked the continued relationship between both companies, and laid out three main principles.
These principles highlighted the establishment of a business relationship between CCB and SIX; the continued internationalisation of Switzerland's financial services market; and a joint partnership between the two firms on areas including market presence activities and product development.
This agreement will be strengthened through periodic meetings of management and personnel communication between SIX and CCB.
CEO of SIX, Jos Dijsselhof, comments on the agreement: “This agreement is a step forward in expanding our reach in Asia, a dynamic region full of business opportunities. We look forward to working together to explore opportunities for co-operation in the securities services field.”
