Northern Trust has selected Melanie Pickett as head of asset servicing, Americas, following on from her previous position as head of asset owners, Americas.

The new position will see Pickett continue her work in leading product and service delivery to clients, including pensions, foundations, and insurance companies, and assume greater responsibilities in managing the company’s asset manager customers.

She brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, with a speciality in senior operations and technology. Having joined Northern Trust in 2017, Pickett has evolved from driving the development of Front Office Solutions, a portfolio management product, to expanding the company’s client and market reach.

Teresa Parker, president of asset servicing, comments: “For years, Melanie has been instrumental in helping us meet and exceed the expectations of our asset owner clients in the Americas. As she moves into her new role, we're looking forward to seeing Melanie continue to drive growth and innovation across the organisation.”
