Global Head of Securities Services Pekin leaves Citi

Okan Pekin has left his role as global head of securities services at Citi as he looks to pursue “new opportunities”.
Pekin has spent the last 35 years at the firm in a variety of roles. He joined as a junior structurer in derivatives before working his way up to his current leadership role.
He also had spells as global co-head of equities and securities services as well as global head of investor services.
Announcing the news on LinkedIn, Pekin said: “As I embark on this next chapter, I am excited about the new opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. While I will no longer be at Citi, the lessons, relationships, and experiences I have gained here will stay with me as I move forward.”
