BX Digital receives FINMA approval
20 March 2025 Switzerland

BX Digital, a part of the Boerse Stuttgart Group, has become the first Swiss financial market infrastructure to receive Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) approval.
The license approval will allow BX Digital to operate a distributed ledger technology (DTL) trading facility, offering the transfer of assets on a public blockchain without the need for intermediaries.
BX Digital says that this will not only boost Swiss financial market infrastructure but also ensures the trading of tokenised assets in a secure and controlled environment.
The DTL facility will also be in direct connection to the Swiss National Bank's payment system.
Andreas Ruflin, chief digital officer of BX Digital, says: "We are very excited to launch this new type of financial market infrastructure. By integrating a public blockchain into the existing financial system, BX Digital is making a significant contribution to the efficiency of the capital market and the breakthrough of digital assets."
Lidia Kurt, CEO of BX Digital, adds: "BX Digital aims to become the leading Swiss financial market infrastructure for trading and decentralised settlement of digital assets."
