BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Peter Soesbeek as head of corporates and issuers in the Netherlands, as the firm continues to expand its footprint in Benelux.

Soesbeek’s principal responsibility in the newly created role at BNP Paribas, is to drive business development of the bank’s Corporate Trust Services (CTS) in the Netherlands.

He joins following a career in both debt and equity products, most recently as global head of structured finance at Equity Trust. Before that, Soesbeek worked at Fortis Investments, NIBC and MeesPierson.

Commenting on the appointment, Pascal Pommier, head of corporates and issuers, BNP Paribas Securities Services said: “We’re pleased to welcome Peter to the team in the Netherlands, and regard his appointment as a crucial step in the development of our corporate trust offering in Europe.

“Corporates and issuers are looking for service providers that can undertake complex, multi-jurisdictional listings, and as one of our key strengths, we have the ideal platform from which to grow our CTS offer in Europe,” Pommier continued.

“Peter’s expertise and leadership in the field will be instrumental in realising that growth.”
