Multifonds has announced that Bill Hunt, former vice chairman of State Street, will be joining its board of directors.

Hunt spent his career between the US and Asia, starting with State Street in Japan in 1994 after working in various securities and investment management roles. He also served as a senior member of State Street's Asia-Pacific development board, the executive team responsible for strategic planning across the entire Asian region.

Commenting on his appointment, Hunt said, “Joining the Multifonds board was an easy decision for me. I’ve long admired what Multifonds offers in terms of multiple jurisdictions, asset classes, fund structures, locations, time zones, currencies and languages – all on a single platform.”

After returning to the US, Hunt was appointed president and CEO of State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) in 2005 and in 2006 as vice chairman of State Street Corp.

Oded Weiss, CEO of Multifonds, said, “Bill’s extensive experience in both the US and Asian markets makes him perfectly suited to help us continue the exciting growth trend at Multifonds. Both markets are key areas for us over the coming year.”
