It has been reported that State Street is on the cusp of buying Goldman Sachs’ hedge fund administration business, after Goldman Sachs has been shopping around for several months.
If the division, which looks after assets of roughly $200 billion, was to combine with State Street, it would create the largest hedge fund administration provider in the world.
