Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) is opening a new office in Tunisia to develop its custody services offer.
Located in Tunis within the Union de Internationale de Banques—a subsidiary of Societe Generale group—SGSS will provide a new custody platform in line with international standards.
Via the new platform SGSS will become the first international player to provide custody services in Tunisia to a clientele of local and international institutional investors.
The Tunisian set up is a further step in SGSS’ strategy to become a major securities services player on the African continent.
SGSS in Johannesburg already provides a range of securities services in South Africa and now also covers Mauritius. SGSS also plans to expand its presence in Ghana soon.
