SunGard has strengthened its risk management efforts with a new APT Enterprise platform, offering an independent view of the market.
The platform offers an interactive risk dashboard for the buy side and provides coverage of liquid and illiquid assets, unlisted funds and types of derivative products. There is also a ‘what-if’ analysis for fund managers.
“Firms are starting to develop a true culture of risk, but they are challenged by lack of coherence in modelling and by disparate risk platforms,” said Laurence Wormald, head of buy-side research, SunGard.
“APT Enterprise allows the monitoring of liquidity risk to become more integrated with market risk and to be visualised via a front office dashboard – helping investment firms to make better-informed investment decisions”
Five North American and European customers are currently using APT Enterprise.
