Robeco Institutional Asset Management has adopted the ‘FundsXML’ open data distribution system through Vermilion Software.

The asset manager can now distribute fund data to all global fund platforms in the market standard FundsXML output, via the Vermilion Reporting Suite. Global distribution is driven from existing factsheet templates that will ensure ease of maintenance and delivery oversight.

The working groups under the FundsXML Standards Committee (FSC), whose membership includes asset managers, technology firms and associations, are looking to expand the scope of the open and free of charge file format that enables the data exchange process to be fully automated.

Vermilion’s V:XML framework facilitates the distribution and dissemination of data in industry standard, regulatory and custom formats.

The framework forms part of Vermilion’s ‘V:Utilities’ service, that empowers clients to automate traditionally manual processes, as well as automating the distribution of data in market standard outputs, such as Funds XML and FpML.
