Paul Spendiff has left Apex Fund Services to join FundRock as group head of business development.

Spendiff served as managing director of Apex Fund Services’s UK operations, and prior to that was head of European sales.

Based in London, Spendiff brings with him more than 20 years of experience in financial markets and services.

Spendiff has extensive knowledge of the European regulatory landscape and investor drivers for both the alternative and traditional fund management spheres.

Additionally, Spendiff has worked with clients from around the world looking to establish European management and fund structures for both open and closed-ended funds.

Commenting on his new role, Spendiff said: “Through targeted acquisitions and organic growth, FundRock has successfully established itself as the leading third-party management company in Europe.”

He added: “I am very much looking forward to joining the strong management team at FundRock and pursuing the commercial opportunities that this institutional platform provides.”

Revel Wood, CEO of FundRock, commented: “We are delighted to have Spendiff join our team. This is one of a number of key hires planned as part of our expansion and investment in people and platform to serve clients across our unique Luxembourg, Ireland, and UK authorised corporate director and management company solutions.”

“Spendiff brings significant experience of the UK market and I am sure he will lead our global team to even further success and bring value to our growing UK client base.”
