Maitland chosen by Merian Chrysalis

Maitland has been appointed as the Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFM) Directive, fund administrator and company secretary for the new Merian Chrysalis Investment Company (Merian Chrysalis).

Maitland will provide AIFM, fund administration and company secretarial services for Merian Chrysalis, which is a Guernsey-domiciled closed-ended investment company.

The company will invest in unlisted stocks and is co-managed by Richard Watts and Nick Williamson.

Nicola Stronach, COO at Merian Global Investors, said: “The Merian Chrysalis Investment Company Limited is our first listed product and we’re pleased to be working with Maitland.”

She added: “We are confident Maitland’s proven expertise will benefit the company and its investors.”

Patric Foley-Brickley, head of institutional business development and client management at Maitland, commented: “We are very pleased to have been appointed by Merian Global Investors for this exciting new venture.”

He added: “We look forward to working with them and to helping make a success of the Merian Chrysalis Investment Company.”
