Greentech Capital Advisors has selected Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) to be the provider of ManCo, fund administration, custody and trustee services in Ireland.

Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS Germany), manager of the Gateway UCITS Fund platform in Ireland, has also launched a new fund, the GCA Sustainable Growth UCITS Fund on the Gateway platform (Gateway).

Gateway is an open-ended umbrella investment structure, which allows asset managers to establish UCITS compliant funds as separate sub-funds.

According to SGSS, these sub-funds can be established quickly and marketed independently, with significantly lower start-up and running costs than establishing a standalone fund.

The GCA Sustainable Growth UCITS Fund will benefit from fund administration, transfer agency, depositary services, as well as ancillary services such as key investor information document (KIID) preparation, provided by SGSS.

Fund distribution support services will be provided across SGSS’ broad European cross-border network of local representative agents and will include fund registration and administrative management services.

Jeff McDermott, managing partner at Greentech Capital Advisors, said “Greentech is now in a position to offer a global solution to sophisticated investors looking to add actively managed sustainable and environmental impact equity strategies to their portfolios.”

Robert Schultz, COO at Greentech Capital Advisors, commented: “The established Gateway platform structure and the local expertise of the SGSS team enabled us to launch our UCITS fund within a tight timeframe to meet investor demand.”

He added: “We were able to use the SGSS network of local paying agents to register our fund for distribution within various markets in Europe”.
