ASX sees value of CHESS holdings increase

The value of securities held in Australian Securities Exchange’s (ASX) CHESS increased 5 percent in June, compared to the previous corresponding period.
The number of dominant settlement messages in June 2019 was 2 percent higher than the previous period and the value of securities held in Austraclear was also 5 percent higher.
In June 2019, average daily futures and options on futures volumes were up 21 percent on the previous period.
Average daily futures volume was up 21 percent and average daily options volume was up 9 percent.
In June 2019, the average daily number of trades was 41 percent higher.
The average daily value traded on market of $5.5 billion was up 16 percent.
In June 2019, total capital raised was $7.3 billion, up 60 percent on the previous period.
