Northern Trust adds risk management offering to its front-office solutions

Northern Trust has expanded its front office solutions product set to include a suite of risk management capabilities, enabling asset owners to review and assess the operational strengths and risks of investment managers.
The new product suite will be led by Vincent Molino, a 15-year industry veteran who joined Northern Trust as practice executive, head of operational risk management solutions in July 2019.
Molino has experience in analysing the investment operations of investment managers and assessing operational processes and risks across all asset classes, including alternative assets.
Further operational risk monitoring functions are also under development for the new product suite as well as capabilities for limited partnership agreement compliance, fund fee analysis and regulatory monitoring.
Northern Trust’s risk management facilities will be available to clients managing alternative strategies such as hedge funds, private equity funds, real assets and direct investments.
