Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) has partnered with Nium, the global infrastructure for cross-border payments, to provide Indonesian clients with real-time money transfer solutions.

This partnership is said to enhance the company’s cross-border offerings to its corporate customers, and will facilitate access to cross-border payments services to over 150 million BRI account holders.

These services include digital wallets and an electronic card network, which BRI maintains will meet the rising demand for modern payment infrastructure in Indonesia.

Corporate secretary for BRI, Agustya Hendy Bernadi, comments: “With Nium's global transaction network, BRI strengthens the digitalisation of its business processes and enhances retail banking capabilities in line with our 2025 strategic vision."

Anupam Pahuja, general manager and executive VP for APAC, Middle East and Africa at Nium, adds: “By integrating Nium's advanced technology into BRI's platform, we are dedicated to providing BRI's customers, no matter where they are, with access to exceptional financial services.”
