19 March 2025 US

Belmoney and dLocal have partnered in a bid to strengthen cross-border payouts across key emerging markets.
Through the partnership, dLocal will enable Belmoney to use over 900 local and alternative payment methods to facilitate cross-border remittances. This will include bank transfers and instant transactions in Bangladesh, Ecuador and Peru along with digital wallets such as Nigeria’s OPay, the companies say.
The collaboration hopes to improve processing speeds, service reliability, and cost effectiveness for users receiving funds, as well as expanding into markets such as China.
Bruno Pedras, founder and CEO at Belmoney, says: “Our partnership with dLocal is a game-changer in the remittance space. By integrating with dLocal’s comprehensive network, we can significantly lower costs.”
Martin Sapiurka, head of remittances at dLocal, adds: “The collaboration with Belmoney ensures that more people in underserved regions have access to fast, reliable, and cost-effective cross-border payments in Africa, Asia and Latin America.”
