JTC has appointed Neil O’Brien as funds director in its Luxembourg office.
In his new role, O’Brien will be responsible for reviewing operational processes in Luxembourg and will be the client relationship manager for several clients.
Previously, O’Brien worked at Citco Fund Services where he was head of operations for alternative funds, and prior to that, he was conducting officer at SS&C GlobeOp, both based in Luxembourg.
O’Brien has over 20 years of experience in the alternative assets and UCITS financial services industry and has focused on alternative funds, primarily in the hedge and private equity sectors.
He has also worked in various jurisdictions including Australia, Bermuda, and Singapore.
Commenting on the appointment, Joost Mees, managing director, JTC Luxembourg, said: “O’Brien brings with him a wealth of experience in the funds sector, and also in terms of international exposure.”
Mees continued: “Client service excellence is a priority at JTC and O’Brien’s extensive industry knowledge and experience of the ever-changing funds industry will be greatly beneficial to clients.”
O’Brien added: “My time spent in the industry in the last 20 years has shown me how quickly trends and products change in line with demand and I look forward to working with JTC’s extensive client base in offering the best service possible to meet these expectations.”
Last month, JTC strengthened its global ManCo proposition with the hire of Greg Kok , based in Luxembourg.
